Dennis Burrows -- Head Coach
Dennis has coached soccer for about 19 years; he holds both the USSF A License and NSCAA Premier Diploma. Along with coaching the Sparta Women's team, he is an ODP staff coach, and is the Director of Coaching for the Sparta United girl's program. Dennis began his soccer career as a player; he played through the youth ranks here in Salt Lake and ended his youth soccer experience playing for Sparta United. He then went on to play in the local adult premier division and coached/ran a men's team for ten years. He began coaching youth soccer when his oldest son began playing at age five and it did not take Dennis long to realize how much he enjoyed working with players of all ages and abilities. He has a true love of the game, is passionate about developing players to their fullest potential, and taking women's soccer to the highest possible level.

Damian Munoz -- Assistant Coach
Damian has coached soccer since 1999; he holds the USSF D License and has considerable experience as a player. Damian grew up playing soccer in Argentina; he cannot remember a time when a soccer ball was not at his feet. He played for Club Deportivo Berazategui, Club Atletico Independiente, Miami Breakers, and professionally for the Utah Blitzz. Currently, Damian is a professional staff coach and head coach of several premier teams for Sparta United, an assistant ODP coach, as well as assisting the Sparta Women's Team. Damian brings a realistic approach to coaching the game in that he believes that one should train as if he/she is the best but that person should never become so arrogant as to believe he/she is the best. For Damian, the individual is only as good as the team.

John Ragsdale -- Assistant Coach/Goalkeeper Coach
John has
been training players and coaching soccer since 1986; he holds a USSF C License, the NSCAA National Goalkeeping Diploma and he is the founder and operator of the "Wasatch Goalkeeper Academy." He the head Utah ODP goalkeeping coach, the assistant/goalkeeper coach for Alta High School, and is Sparta United's head goalkeeper coach. John also played through the youth ranks in Salt Lake; he is an Alta Hawks and Sparta United alumnus and played professionally for the Utah Freezz. John's focus of coaching players to be their best, helping those players develop a love of the game that extends through his/her lifetime, and the fact that he does all he can to improve the level of play on a local, state, and national level makes John a wonderful asset to the soccer community.

Ab Rees -- Assistant Coach
Ab has been playing and coaching soccer for 30 years and holds a USSF C License. He is a Sparta professional staff and head coach, an ODP staff coach and instructor as well as being an assistant to the Women's Team. Ab began his soccer career in the youth programs of Arkansas and Texas. He played for the Texas North State Champion's team, the Utah State Select team, and played college soccer for Westminster College where he formally held the school record holder for goals scored in a single season. From 1997-99 he was the coaching director for the Firebirds Soccer Club and in 2003 he came to Sparta United to lend his expertise to the Girl's Program. Ab's passion for soccer exhibits itself in the fact that he uses his knowledge and experience to give our young players better opportunities to play beyond the youth programs into college and professional programs.

David Newman -- Assistant Coach
David has been coaching in Utah for the past three years at the club, high school, and ODP level. All of David’s playing career was in England where he played semi-professionally for 12 years.
A keen student of the game with a total and abiding love of Manchester City Football Club, David is married with four children and lives in Bountiful, Utah.

Eric S. -- Assistant Coach
Eric began coaching in 2002 as the goalkeeper coach at Mountain View high school and a club coach for the Utah Valley Rangers ; he holds a USSF D License. Currently, he coaches at Utah Soccer Alliance, Revolution FC, and is an assistant ODP staff coach and goalkeeper coach. In addition, Eric is the head coach of the Lone Peak High School boys soccer team. He played youth soccer for a local team in Tremonton, Utah, ODP, and Bear River High School. After high school he played for the Weber State University Mens B team and was invited to train with the Utah Blitzz. Eric strives to help each player improve and reach their potential as a soccer player. He views success as seen in a player's excitement and passion for the game.
